Working within our multidisciplinary team of Physiotherapist, Dietitian, and Exercise Physiologist you’ll have the opportunity to develop new treatment programs and group classes helping clients to manage their movement, pain, balance, and improve quality of life. Highlights of your role include: In centre and home visit based service supporting clients across community and aged care sectors. Regular support provided from our Allied Health Lead – Exercise Physiology. Mentoring offered to new graduates and Exercise Physiologists with less than 3 years clinical experience and delivered by Senior Exercise Physiologists. Opportunity to build community and private client caseload to increase individual services and group classes offered by our Exercise Physiologist team. Opportunity to support student placements and contribute to development of the exercise physiologist service within Blue Care. Manage your own case load with realistic productivity targets. Flexibility in days/hours. Your role: You’ll work with our well established multidisciplinary team (MDT) to deliver the highest standard of care and exercise physiology treatment using a person-centred approach. Your main aim will be to maintain and encourage client independence in addition to considering their physical and social wellbeing. You will be driven to make a difference in the lives of our clients and be knowledgeable and experienced within the aged care sector, or enthusiastic to learn. Additionally you will offer: Tertiary qualifications in Clinical Exercise Physiology with current ESSA Accreditation. Have the ability to grow and maintain client caseloads through successful results and positive word of mouth. Have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a Multi-disciplinary team. Demonstrated ability in Exercise Physiology assessment and treatment of individuals presenting with a wide range of needs, including aged care and chronic illnesses/diseases. Exceptional high level of verbal and written communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain rapport with a multidisciplinary team, clients, and their carers. Proven clinical problem solving skills, with effective time-management and ability to manage conflicting priorities. Demonstrated ability and proficiency in appropriate documenting and accurate record keeping. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a multi-disciplinary team member and autonomously. Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage individual caseload whilst meeting service and customer needs. Demonstrated ability to recognise other needs that Blue Care can assist clients with and provide relevant and timely referrals. Confidence with use of smart phone and digital devices or willingness to learn. Blue Card or willingness to obtain. Current Australian Drivers Licence and a road worthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance as required. You will also demonstrate a willingness to work within Philosophy, Policies and Procedures of Blue Care and the Uniting Church of Australia.
