SAIC is currently seeking an part time Exercise Scenario Manager/Senior Controller to lead the development and implementation of training scenarios throughout the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) and execution of designated exercises directed by USINDOPACOM J73. Job Responsibilities:SAIC is currently seeking an part time Exercise Scenario Manager/Senior Controller to lead the development and implementation of training scenarios throughout the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) and execution of designated exercises directed by USINDOPACOM J73. Job Responsibilities: Support the J73 Division Chief by designing and managing realistic scenarios informed by research on real-world military and geopolitical landscapes and input from subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure alignment with Commander, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command’s exercise focus areas. Guide a team comprised of U.S. and Allied military and interagency personnel in the design of a comprehensive, realistic, months-long scenario. Prepare and brief senior leadership and members of the Joint Exercise Control Group (JECG) on scenario-related topics during planning conferences throughout the JELC. Conduct independent research and facilitate briefings on emergent geopolitical dynamics within the USINDOPACOM AOR. Act as a Higher Headquarters (HHQ) Role Player in exercises. Produce exercise higher headquarters orders (ie: PLANORD, WARNORD) to facilitate guidance for training audience planning. Facilitate the development and integration of kinetic and non-kinetic processes into training, exercise, rehearsal, testing, and experimentation events. Provide exercise support through information and knowledge management industry best practices. Support identification strengths and gaps within organizational plans, processes, and procedures. International travel approximately 10%25 of the year or as required, to support the planning and execution of designated exercises with foreign Allies and Partners Required Education: Bachelors degree with fifteen (15)+ years of relevant experience; additional four (4) years experience accepted in lieu of degree. Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) I or equivalent. Experience working in a Joint headquarters. Basic understanding of the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) and associated requirements to both plan and execute Theater-level Command Post Exercises (CPX). Prior military exercise planning experience is desired. Experience researching complex military and geopolitical topics in order to enhance scenario design. Ability to lead components in the planning and execution of JELC events, work plans, seminars, and war games. Familiarity with the USINDOPACOM mission and area of responsibility. Experience with professional writing, to include proofreading and editing organizational directives, orders, policies, instructions, and technical documents. Excellent briefing and public speaking skills. Experience working with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Required Clearance: Candidates must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. Current US Citizenship required.
