Responsibilities Responsible for exercise prescription and progression of patients in program Responsible for safe exercise programming Assist with evaluation and discharge of patients Assist with patient education. Reviews patient health history and adjusts initial exercise prescription/plan. Collects initial preprogram outcomes information. Enters patient information into LSI monitoring system. Interviews patient for progress toward initial exercise goals. Makes appropriate exercise recommendations to referring MD. Updates weekly exercise prescription and progresses patient at appropriate pace. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in exercise science, Human performance, or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred. Experience: Previous experience in rehab setting, internship, or clinical setting preferred. License(s)/Certification(s): Must maintain current CPR Certification. CCRP, CEP, ACSM exercise specialist preferred. ACLS certification *Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs. The salary range listed does not include other forms of compensation which may include bonuses/incentive, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits that may be applicable to this role.
Responsibilities
The Exercise Specialist is responsible for designing and progressing safe exercise programs for patients in a clinical setting. They also conduct patient evaluations, provide education, and monitor progress using the LSI system.
