JOB DESCRIPTION:

JJMT Canada is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. This role will focus on Operational Expenditures (OPEX) analysis and management, providing critical insights to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the organization. The Senior Financial Analyst will serve as the key finance business partner for our Strategic Customer, Research & Development, and Health Economics & Medical Affairs groups, playing a pivotal role in aligning financial strategies with operational goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or professional certification (CFA, CPA, etc.) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, budget management, or related areas, preferably within a corporate environment.
  • Previous experience partnering with strategic business units such as R&D and customer operations is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders
Responsibilities
  • OPEX Analysis: Analyze operational expenditures and identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Reporting: Develop and present financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs related to OPEX management to senior management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, particularly in Strategic Customer, Research & Development, and Health Economics & Medical Affairs, to gather data, understand operational needs, and support financial decision-making.
  • Cost Control: Implement and monitor cost control initiatives to optimize spending and enhance profitability.
  • Financial Modeling: Create financial models to assess the impact of strategic initiatives and operational changes.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis: Provide analytical support for various projects and conduct ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.
  • Expertise in OPEX Systems: Act as a subject matter expert on OPEX systems, providing guidance and insights to optimize usage and reporting.
