WILDLIFE MONITOR   Temporary Short Term position Position to fill 2 Code EXP26-07 The place of work is in Nunavik Deadline to apply June 25th, 2026 The normal work schedule is on a rotation of 4 weeks: 2 weeks worked (84 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks of rest.     Privileges & benefits  * A competitive salary including Bonuses and a full range of social benefits; * Opportunities for learning and a career advancement; * A work environment known to be Friendly, Devoted and Significant.    Responsibilities  Reporting to the project geologist, , the wildlife supervisor will be responsible for accompanying geophysical teams in the field. He will act as wildlife supervisor and first responder in emergency situations. The position involves working in the tundra and requires the ability to travel long distances by snowmobile He will be responsible for: * Scan work areas for possible animal threats;  * Escort work crews during field trips; * Act as first responder if the situation requires it; * Maintain marked snowmobile trails * Ensure that survival camps are in good condition and comply with regulations * Performs all other duties as required be the position.   Qualifications * The applicant must have a firearms licence (possession/acquisition); * Must have a good knowledge of the use of a GPS; * Remote location survival course (an asset); * Ability to communicate verbally and in writing; * Possess a valid driver’s license is essential.    Assets * Firearms licence (possession/acquisition); * Snowmobile driving experience * Driver's licence class 5  * Bilangual (French and English) Profil  * Work with a diverse and multicultural team * Autonomy, dynamism, positivity, respect, team spirit and versatility * Ability to work under pressure and maintain good interpersonal relationships.   The masculine is used for the sole purpose of lightening the text and designates both the feminine and the masculine. Responsibilities
