Read more about IOM's workplace culture at IOM workplace culture | International Organization for Migration [https://www.iom.int/iom-workplace-culture]   Project Context and Scope The International Organization for Migration IOM Kenya is implementing activities under the Global Health Security and Diplomacy (GHSD) framework to strengthen national and cross border capacities for preparedness, detection, and response to public health threats, with a specific focus on Mpox Clade 1b. The project supports the Government of Kenya to enhance surveillance, screening, reporting, and coordination at Points of Entry and along major mobility corridors in line with the International Health Regulations (IHR) 2005 and the Health Border and Mobility Management framework.   The consultancy will support the planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of GHSD funded activities, working closely with the Public Health Officer and relevant IOM units, national authorities, and United States Government counterparts. The consultant will contribute to ensuring technical quality, operational coherence, and timely delivery of project outputs.   Organizational Department / Unit to which the Consultant is contributing   Public Health Department under Migration Health Division.
Responsibilities
The consultant will support the planning, coordination, and implementation of Global Health Security and Diplomacy activities to strengthen national and cross-border public health capacities. They will also contribute to technical reporting, data compilation, and the preparation of briefs for internal and donor audiences.
