Job Summary The Expeditor plays a key role in ensuring timely delivery of materials, components, and services required for production. This position is responsible for tracking orders, coordinating with suppliers, resolving delivery issues, and maintaining close communication with purchasing, production, and logistics teams to avoid delays in manufacturing schedules. Key Responsibilities Monitor open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery. Communicate regularly with production and purchasing teams regarding material status and delivery schedules. Coordinate the movement of materials between departments and/or facilities. Identify and resolve issues that may cause delays in procurement or production. Update ERP system with shipment tracking, delivery confirmations, and order status. Work closely with vendors to expedite critical orders or reallocate materials when needed. Support inventory control by tracking incoming items and ensuring proper documentation. Prepare and maintain status reports, expediting logs, and metrics. Participate in production meetings to review priorities and delivery risks. Assist with returns, discrepancies, and corrective actions related to incoming materials. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or technical degree preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain support in a manufacturing environment. Proficient in using ERP systems (SAGE preferred) and Microsoft Office tools. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines under pressure. Detail-oriented with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
