Description Value Plus Flooring is currently seeking an Expeditor to join our sales support team. Together with organization and attention to detail, the Expeditor functions as a “central hub” for the residential and commercial sales and operations teams, making sure to complete orders and changes accurately and communicate professionally and promptly with our customers. This position reports to the Company President and works Monday to Friday office hours at our Eagan, MN showroom and warehouse. Great opportunity to build on administrative skills and learn about the construction industry. Training provided. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Process customer orders, including ordering material and following up on orders. Communicate by phone or email with customers and sales team regarding the status of orders. Assist with and maintain project overview, product specs, drawings, and floorplans. Communicate with the warehouse, other departments, and subcontractors to ensure proper documentation for all sales team's paperwork, drawings, and other documents. Send reminders and changes on any projects. Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. None. Requirements EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Previous work experience in flooring coverings or the construction industry preferred. Previous work experience using Microsoft Office applications as a daily requirement. Previous work experience using RFMS or similar construction-related business management application preferred. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds without restriction and on a regular basis. Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing for training and project updates and to independently handle external and internal requests. Math skills acquired through high school diploma or equivalent to handle customer payments, orders, and related financial transactions.
