real estate holdings and investments in luxury markets.Role Summary: The Expense Payables Associate supports Expense (non-merchandise) payables to ensure all daily / monthly / quarterly functions are completed accurately and on time within company policy. The incumbent will be responsible for handling transactions and reconciliations to the offshore AP Expense Payables team as part of their daily responsibilities.Role Description: Provide support and direction to expense managers throughout the company pertaining to the payment of expense invoices and helping to resolve any escalated issues or invoices / payments requiring expedited treatment.Provide Workday support to users for creation of invoice and supplier records.Communicate with vendors to resolve any issues related to payments or invoicesProvide remittance upon requestReconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepanciesVerify weekly tech invoices for paymentAssist with the annual 1099 tax preparationProtect the assets of the company by ensuring that policies and procedures pertaining to the approvals and vendor deductions are clearly defined and communicated and are followed by associates.Provide input on Policies and Procedures related to ExpenseSupport Period-end close activities for the Expense Payables team: Support the external and internal audit process as requiredAssist with projects and ad hoc requests as neededReporting / Analysis of non-Merchandise spend: Generate payment reporting for business partnersPerform daily audit of processed invoicesKey Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, with business or accounting background preferredExperience within Accounts Payable function in a large companyStrong analytical and reporting skillsA minimum of 1 years of experience in Accounts Payable.Exposure to AP systems and technology, preferably Workday or similar systemsRequired to have intermediate Microsoft Excel skillsSuperior communications skills, both written and oral.Demonstrated understanding and acceptance for responsibility of confidentiality.Strong organizational / time management skills/problem solving skillsA proven ability to build strong business relationships beyond the finance team, as well as ability to effectively manage theneeds of multiple stakeholder groups.Strong customer service focus.Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyExperience with accounting monthly and quarterly close process within the AP functionYour Life and Career at Saks: Exposure to rewarding career advancement opportunitiesA culture that promotes a healthy, fulfilling work/life balanceBenefits package for all eligible full-time employees (including medical, vision and dental).An amazing employee discountThank you for your interest in Saks.
