About the role This newly created role is perfect for someone who’s organised, enjoys working with people and ready to jump in wherever needed. As our go‑to person, you’ll help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes while also being a welcoming face for volunteers, families and staff. You'll work from our Starlight Express Room (SER) located within Perth Children's Hospital. You’ll support the manager by performing day‑to‑day operational and administrative tasks, helping the team stay on track and co-ordinating our volunteers. From making sure our spaces are set up and sparkling, to helping volunteers feel confident, to keeping activities flowing - no two days will look the same. What a day could look like: Setting up the SER for the day - making it fun, welcoming and looking its best Welcoming volunteers, supporting them during shifts and helping them shine Keeping things organised - bookings, supplies, stationery, you name it Jumping in to help run activities, events or experiences (including the thrill of hosting some of our incredible ambassadors, partners and the occasional celebrity!) About you You’re a natural doer - proactive, organised, and energised by people. You love being the go‑to person and you’re happy to take ownership. You will thrive in this role if you: Are a proactive, hands on co-ordinator who loves variety, takes initiative and is happy to pitch in wherever needed. Have strong organisation and co-ordination skills with at least 2 years' experience managing activities, people and competing priorities. Are warm, confidentent communicator, able to build positive relationships with a wide range of people. Highly detail-oriented and task focussed, with a natural love of planning, to-do lists, and following things through. Stay calm under pressure, adaptable and able to delegate when required. Technically capable, with proficiency in Microsoft applications.
