Overview Patient Service Representative - Medical Office Front Desk - Family Medicine - Eagle Grove, IA Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5pm w/ half day off every week (36 hours per week and every 4th Saturday from 8a-12p) As an Experience Specialist/Receptionist, you are the first person to greet patients as they walk into our clinics. Primary duties will include checking-in patients, assisting with scheduling, answering phones, processing co-payments and follow up appointments as needed. Responsibilities Provide a professional, welcoming first point of contact for patients and visitors, offering information on services and procedures. Keep patients and families informed about wait times, provider availability, and any delays. Address general inquiries and concerns with empathy, escalating complex issues as needed. Offer guidance on charges, payment processes, and insurance procedures. Maintain accurate and up to date patient records in the electronic medical records (EMR) system. Answer and route incoming calls, providing basic information as appropriate. Ensure all interactions and data handling follow confidentiality and UPH standards. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required 1+ year of customer service or front desk experience preferred (healthcare setting is a plus) Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Basic proficiency in computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office and scheduling platforms Professional appearance and demeanor
