ACCOMMODATION SUPERVISOR – GREAT SOUTHERN KILLARNEY

The Great Southern Killarney has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accommodation Supervisor to join our dedicated team.
We are currently looking for an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor with a solid background in hotel housekeeping. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar supervisory role and must be proficient in using the Opera Property Management System (PMS).
This role requires someone who consistently delivers a high standard of service, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, and actively contributes to the overall guest experience.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a housekeeping supervisory position, ideally at a 4* or 5* level
  • Proficient in using Opera PMS and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to lead a team and maintain high cleanliness standards
  • A flexible, dependable, and professional approach to work
  • High standards of customer service with a strong understanding of the importance of guest experience
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels and nationalities
  • Fluent English – both verbal and written
  • Energetic, friendly, approachable, well-groomed, and courteous
Responsibilities
  • Be fully aware of the day’s business in terms of room occupancy, special requirements, and VIP needs
  • Liaise closely with Reception regarding room moves, VIP guests, and special requests, acting on all relevant information
  • Distribute keys, room lists, checklists, and cleaning schedules to accommodation staff at the beginning of each shift and ensure they are returned and reviewed at the end of shift
  • Oversee the work of Accommodation Assistants, Linen Porters, and Maintenance throughout the day to ensure standards are met
  • Inspect assigned work sections thoroughly to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are achieved
  • Ensure all guest rooms and public areas are clean, well-maintained, and attractively presented
  • Maintain stock levels of linen, towels, stationery, and guest amenities to support consistency in standards
  • Train and supervise team members, ensuring standards from the Training Manual are implemented and maintained
  • Step in for ad hoc cleaning duties as required by management
  • Ensure the smooth and professional operation of the Accommodation Department
