Boeing Global Services, Consumables & Expendables (C&E) Distribution Business is looking for an Experienced Accountant (Level 3) for our Miami, FL facility.
The Accountant provides the opportunity to understand the financial operations and reporting structure for the business.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE)

  • 3+ years of related work experience
  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Finance or Accounting
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to motivate in a team environment
  • Ability to partner with groups and cross functionally to meet or exceed department’s goals
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Identify root cause for issues and implement appropriate solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/DESIRED SKILLS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Strong communication skills to convey accounting and compliance concepts to both technical and non-technical teams, including executive leadership and external government auditors
  • CPA/Public Accounting Experience/Public Company Experience (preferred)
  • Experience with basic ERP system functionality, SAP or similar tool

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Required

Responsibilities
  • Research, prepare, review and reconcile financial statements and reports
  • Analyze and mitigate compliance risk/errors of a complex nature
  • Identify and communicate cost collection requirements while developing, implementing and maintaining cost accounting structure/systems, tools, data and related realignment activities
  • Support the development and deployment of complex changes to accounting tools and processes
  • Provide specialized or general analysis support in various accounting and finance functions such as Inventory Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Accounting, Financial Analysis and the like.
  • Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency, and output.
  • Ensure effective, collaborative communication with internal business partners, management and external suppliers to ensure accurate disbursement processing.
  • Participate in the month end financial close process by conducting account analysis
  • Prepare specialized reports and analyses and submit recommendations for improved operations.
  • Assist in the implementation of new accounting systems
  • Review and analyze journal vouchers, accounting classifications and other accounting/financial statements, records and reports.
  • Prepare analysis of accounts and month-end reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
