Experienced Accounts Assistant
Fowler Fortescue is a Rural Estate Management Company, based in Fonthill Bishop. As part of our management service, we offer a full bookkeeping service for our clients.
We are looking for an experienced and well organised individual to help with our portfolio of client accounts. This role will involve looking after all of the bookkeeping services for the clients you are allocated. You will need to be equally happy to work on your own and as part of the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing purchase invoices
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Making payments on behalf of our clients
  • Ensuring rental and other sales invoices are processed
  • VAT returns as required (including partial exemption, due to exempt income)
  • Budgets / Cashflow forecasts
  • Payroll as required
  • General administration, client/supplier queries etc

What you will need:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in an accounts’ environment
  • Confident in your abilities
  • Preferably experience of using Xero software
  • Experienced in the use of Excel
  • The ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • A full driving licence – due to our rural location
