Responsibilities

THE ROLE INVOLVES:

An Application Support Engineer forms the important connection between the business stakeholders and developers, consisting of a permanent core of people, supplemented with knowledge and expertise from other teams where necessary.
The scope of our customer’s systems is large, and their technology leaders will trust you with one of their most important assets.
In this position you will be responsible for maintaining the critical business application landscape. You guarantee availability, resolve any issues and actively participate in preventing them.
Along with other Risk IT Engineers, you’ll be working on large technical projects and help set the direction for the development of our customer’s clearing and risk management application landscape.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing the progress of incidents, problems and changes.
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve application performance and reliability.
  • Assess the impact of disruptions and changes in the applications.
  • Actively contribute to team tasks and bring technical expertise to daily operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues within multiple components of critical business systems.
  • Document and communicate technical solutions effectively to stakeholders.
  • Drive improvements in application management and automate processes.
    To excel in this role, you should focus on problem-solving rather than being attached to specific tools and technologies. Your emphasis should be on ease of use, automation, performance, and security.
