Job Summary The Apprentice Electrician, under the direction of Journeyman Electricians, is responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning and servicing of industrial / commercial electrical equipment and systems. This position will be responsible for following the directions of the Journeyman Electrician to complete electrical maintenance and repair work. Essential Job Responsibilities Observe, learn, and understand a wide range of skills and processes under the instruction of a skilled electrician. Demonstrate these skills and processes as on-the-job training progresses by working independently or with others to complete assigned tasks. Learn and understand the importance of safety within the workspace and across projects. Learn about the various tools and materials required for electricians to complete tasks and projects. Maintain good housekeeping and organization in the work area. Properly utilize the required tools and equipment for each specific task. Other duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations. Minimum Qualifications Required: 2–4 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience Strong understanding of the importance of quality work Detail-oriented with strong communication skills Ability to communicate effectively with others to promote efficiency Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
