EXPERIENCED BARISTA / ALL ROUNDER

Coogee Continental Deli is a is a suburban hub for great coffee and continental favourites. We are searching for a passionate, reliable, and customer-focused Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you’ll be the face of our café, responsible for delivering exceptional coffee, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. You’ll prepare a range of espresso-based beverages, assist with food service, and contribute to a clean and efficient work environment.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Confidently craft epic cups of coffee
• Previous experience in a café or hospitality setting
• Multitask, able to brew, steam, maintain pace and banter all at the same time
• Know your way around equipment
• Be able to steam milk to texture with ease
• Knowledge of coffee beans, grind, extraction time, and drink variations
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A strong work ethic, reliability, and team-focused attitude
• Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and public holidays as needed

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages to consistent standards
• Take customer orders with accuracy, warmth, and efficiency
• Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other café equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station and café area
• Follow food safety and hygiene procedures at all times
• Restock supplies and rotate stock as required
• Serve customers and assist with operational tasks
• Handle cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately
• Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Support team members during busy periods and help create a positive team environment
