Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Barista and Cocktail Bartender to join the team in our exciting Bistro, Bar & Lifestyle Store in Darras Hall. You will be knowledgable in working with traditional espresso machines, crafting beautiful coffees, as well as being passionate about creating great drinks and cocktails. You will also see the importance in offering exemplary customer service, managing a clean and well kept bar area, and supporting and working as part of a close-knit happy team.
Duties:
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including a wide range of hot drinks, cocktails, beers, wines, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
- Handle customer queries, bookings and complaints
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness of the bar area and equipment
- Monitor inventory levels and restock bar supplies as needed
- Collaborate with floor and kitchen staff to coordinate food and drink orders
Skills:
- A full driving licence and own transport is essential, due to the location of the venue.
- Experience in shift leading, including staff discipline, time keeping, breaks management is beneficial, as this role has the potential to develop to a Supervisor position.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations when handling drinks and garnishes
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple drink orders efficiently
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and help create a welcoming atmosphere
- Ability to delegate tasks to team members, and maintain strong working relationships
- Confidence in working in a fast paced environment
The weekly shifts will cover all 7 days, including evenings, and will cover a minimum of 20 hours per week but will be usually be closer to 30 hours, if not more. Bi-weekly shift patterns are available on certain days, but flexibility to work days, evenings and weekends is essential.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
