Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bank Position for a HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientists to primarily join the Haematology Department based at the Barnet Hospital.
The department is a 24/7 rapid response laboratory, consisting of XN, SP-50 and Interliner analysers for haematology and CN-6000 analyser for coagulation.
The successful applicant will be expected to be working 24/7 as per departments requirement on 0 hours contract.
The ideal candidate will have experience in providing a comprehensive, high quality laboratory service. The Biomedical Scientist must use a combination of knowledge, decision making and organisational skills to ensure that the appropriate testing is performed safely, to produce accurate results to our users and in a timely manner.
The role involves working in the Haematology department within the Rapid Response Laboratory as directed by the Head of Haematology, working in collaboration with other Biomedical Scientists, Associate Practitioners and Medical laboratory Assistants and senior scientific staff, in providing an efficient and effective service and to ensure the maintenance of scientific standards of HSL.
The successful candidate should have current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
