Description Seasonal / Full-Time | Elgin Country Club Compensation: $21–$24 per hour, based on experience Position Overview Elgin Country Club is seeking an Experienced Broiler Cook to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for a skilled cook who takes pride in high-quality food preparation, presentation, and consistency. As part of our team, you will help provide an exceptional dining experience for our Members and guests. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items on the broiler station to order, ensuring proper timing, temperature, and presentation Follow recipes, portion controls, and plating standards consistently Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the broiler station Monitor food quality and inventory, reporting shortages or issues to the kitchen manager Collaborate with other cooks and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations Assist with prep work and other stations as needed Requirements Qualifications Proven experience as a broiler cook or in a similar high-volume kitchen environment Knowledge of proper cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation standards Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong teamwork and communication skills Professionalism and a commitment to delivering high-quality food Culinary school or formal training is a plus but not required Schedule & Availability Flexible scheduling, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Steady, consistent availability preferred to support busy club operations Why Join Us?
