EXPERIENCED CAFÉ COOK

We are looking for an experienced cook to work in our busy breakfast cafes. The main duties will be griddle cooking breakfast’s to order as well as preparing other meals on our menu. Everyone in the team when needed is expected to assist with other café duties such as, meal preparation, taking orders, making drinks, clearing tables and general cleaning duties. However this role will predominately focus on griddle cooking, with a light touch on the other aspects of café duties when required.
We are very much focused on a team environment and everyone likes to help each other. We are open to the public 7 days a week with our earliest opening time of 8am and our latest closing time being 5pm. You’ll predominantly be based at one of our cafes either in Shirley, Woolston, Swaythling, Southampton Common or The Central Parks in Southampton. Although you will work predominantly at one of our cafes if the business requires it you may need to travel to one of our other cafes to cover staff absence or annual leave.
We are looking for friendly and outgoing individuals that like to interact with customers to give them a great café experience. The role would suit someone who has previous cooking and catering experience or a customer facing role, used to working in a fast paced environment. Main Job Role:

· Preparing sandwiches, baguettes, salads and light cooking
· Serving customers
Other Light Duties May Include:
· Taking Orders
· Operating the till
· Making hot drinks including teas, coffees and hot chocolates
· Cleaning tables
· Loading the dishwasher
· General cleaning and other ad hoc duties
Competitive rates of pay - to be discussed at interview
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.50 per hour
