WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a commercial kitchen
  • A strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety
  • Ability to work a rotating roster
  • Worked in a quality restaurant, patisserie, cafe or hotel.
  • Great communication skills and a positive, team-first attitude
  • A love for local produce and sustainable food practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage large production volumes while maintaining product integrity.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills

Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

Fully Baked Pty Ltd (T/A AP Bakery) are seeking experienced Cooks to join our vibrant team for our venue in the Sydney CBD. You’ll be working closely with our head chef and kitchen team to deliver quality food in line with our values and seasonal offerings. We at AP Bakery, take great care in every step of our process, from growing our own grains to milling them on site and crafting our delicious baked goods. We are passionate about food and working with some of Sydney’s best growers and producers to create wonderful menu items that showcase their quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with specialty ingredients.
  • Craft and create a range of high-quality dishes whilst maintaining high presentation standards.
  • You will be responsible for all aspects of running your section properly in a fast-paced environment. You will be part of a tight-knit team and will excel at providing exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ensure strict stock rotation and reduce wastage of ingredients, implementing and maintaining effective stock control procedures.
  • Collaborate with a small, tight knit team.
  • Ensure consistent product quality and adherence to health and safety standards - an understanding of HACCP, hygiene practices and following WH&S.
