REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a Chef in a Mediterranean restaurant or pizzeria environment, with a strong emphasis on pizza making.
  • In-depth knowledge of Mediterranean culinary traditions, including Italian, Greek, and French influences.
  • Expertise in dough preparation, fermentation, and baking techniques, especially for artisanal pizzas.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train and motivate kitchen staff.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen management best practices.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for developing new dishes and menu innovations.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
  • Kitchen Management: Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow, consistent food quality, and timely service during peak hours.
  • Menu Development: Create and refine a diverse menu that highlights authentic Mediterranean flavours and exceptional pizzas, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques.
  • Food Preparation: Lead the preparation of a wide range of Mediterranean dishes and sourdough pizzas, ensuring that all items meet high standards of taste, presentation, and consistency.
  • Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Quality Control: Maintain rigorous food safety and hygiene standards in line with health regulations.
  • Inventory & Cost Management: Monitor kitchen inventory, manage food costs, and minimize waste while ensuring that ingredients are always fresh and of high quality.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the restaurant management and front-of-house team to ensure a cohesive dining experience for guests.
