Description

Grand Precision Machining is known as a long term, reliable, and dependable key partner in many of our customers’ supply chains, by providing machining solutions that meet their schedules with the highest quality standards.
As we continue to grow we are looking to expand our team of skilled machinists for our milling department.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC equipment using CNC controls
  • Calibrate tools and tool offsets
  • Machine product to specified requirements as defined by drawings and customer requirements.
  • Maintain equipment in safe and productive condition, including but not limited to, regular routine lubrication, cleaning, maintaining coolant levels
  • Practice general housekeeping, including but not limited to, his/her work area, chip removal, floor areas, benches, storage areas to ensure a safe work environment
  • Maintain measuring instruments in proper working condition by regular cleaning and storing instruments in a safe location both during use and after completion of use as per ISO standards.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures
  • Day Shift ( 6:00AM-3:30PM M-T 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM F )
  • Afternoon shift ( 3:30PM-1:45AM M-T )
  • Over time available after 40 hours.

Experience/Skills/Education:

  • A Certificate of Qualification is an asset
  • Experience on Haas CNC machines would be an asset
  • High school diploma required
  • Previous experience with the set up and operation of CNC equipment is required ( 2+ years )
  • A good understanding of machining principles is essential
  • Good command of the English language both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated communication, problem solving, interpersonal and analytical skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship
Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
