The Boeing Company is seeking an Experienced Corporate Investigator to join The Law and Global Compliance organization in San Antonio, TX. This role involves working collaboratively on the Corporate Investigations Strategy toward a shared purpose and aligned goals.
The selected candidate will execute internal company investigations into employee wrongdoing of medium complexity. They will develop investigative plans, coordinate with key stakeholders, gather physical, electronic, and testimonial evidence, analyze data, make credibility assessments, draw conclusions, report findings, and make recommendations on risk mitigation and operational improvements. This position focuses primarily on investigating fraud-related cases, including theft, time mischarging, production, quality, and other safety issues.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a strong solutions focus, skilled in developing investigative plans, coordinating with stakeholders, analyzing evidence, assessing credibility, drawing conclusions, and reporting findings to support risk mitigation and operational improvements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience conducting investigations and managing the investigative process, including conducting interviews, collecting data and facts, preparing concise and accurate reports, and analyzing data to identify trends and/or discrepancies
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • 3+ years managing a caseload and using electronic databases to track and access information

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 3+ years of experience conducting alleged misconduct investigations of union-represented employees
  • 3+ years of experience working with case management systems and utilizing forensic investigative tools and software
  • Experience as a subject matter expert in effectively communicating case status and relevant findings to stakeholders during investigations
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification or other ethics and/or compliance certifications

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Required

Responsibilities
  • Gather preliminary investigative data (e.g., witness statements, electronic data, physical evidence) to assess the validity of an allegation
  • Prepare an investigative plan to identify issues, determine investigative scope, and identify and employ additional resources (e.g., budget requirements, special equipment, computing forensics)
  • Utilize established investigative procedures to continually assess reported information to determine risk and whether it falls within the investigation scope of responsibility
  • Investigate medium-to-complex matters and evaluate compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations by gathering data and employing subject matter experts to understand the facts and draw conclusions
  • Strengthen the Company’s anti-retaliation efforts by identifying and investigating retaliatory behaviors and reassuring investigative participants of anti-retaliation protections
  • Strengthen investigative partnerships with Ethics, Human Resources, Law, Quality, Safety, and others through alignment and understanding of joint investigations
  • Brief stakeholders (e.g., Reporting Party, Human Resources, Management, Ethics) periodically on case status and relevant findings during the investigation on a need-to-know basis, as determined by the sensitivity of the investigation or mandated by the Boeing Law Department
  • Create concise written reports detailing the factual outcome of investigations, as recorded in the electronic case management system, using an approved standardized format
  • Advise concerned parties of investigative findings (e.g., Law, Ethics, Human Resources, management) for follow-up action, adjudication, and documentation
  • Identify and record factors that contribute to wrongdoing
  • Assist in reducing the likelihood of future wrongdoing by identifying remediation opportunities
  • Mentor, train, and work alongside other investigators to ensure knowledge transfer
    This position is hybrid, meaning the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite in San Antonio. The hybrid nature of the position is at the hiring team’s discretion and may change in the future. The selected candidate must be able to respond promptly to their assigned work location to address exigent business needs. Some travel to other work locations may also be required.
