We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join our GenAI initiative within the Chatbot team. The ideal candidate brings extensive expertise in NLP and machine learning, with a strong focus on conversational AI. In addition to technical proficiency, strong interpersonal skills are a must, as you will collaborate cross-functionally and play a key role in both developing and communicating AI solutions. This role is specifically within the Chatbot team, where you will be responsible for evaluating and improving the end-to-end chat dialog performance. You will develop, experiment, test, deploy, and monitor chatbot behavior and performance to ensure optimal user experience and business impact. Experience with building and maintaining chatbot solutions is essential, as is practical experience applying Large Language Models (LLMs) in production environments. Familiarity with Google DialogFlow and LLM frameworks is highly desirable. Proficiency in data exploration, visualization, and storytelling is crucial for transforming complex findings into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. An MSc or Ph.D. with excellent academic results in the field of Computer Science, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, or other quantitative fields. 4+ years of relevant and demonstrable experience in the field of data science. In-depth knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP), including techniques for dialog systems, intent recognition, entity extraction, and conversational modeling. Proven experience in building and maintaining chatbot solutions, including prompt engineering, evaluation, monitoring and optimization. Strong working knowledge of Python, PySpark, SQL and Git. Familiarity with GCP, Google DialogFlow, VertexAI and BigQuery is a plus. You are curious to learn and apply new technologies. You embrace writing readable, documented and efficient code. Experience in successfully collaborating in cross-functional teams generating business impact Experience in working in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus. You are open to feedback and growth on technical and soft skills. You are fluent in Dutch, both written and spoken, and have a good command of English.
