Description

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and adaptable individual to join our team as a Dental Nurse / Receptionist on a part-time basis to cover maternity leave. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who enjoys both patient care and administrative responsibilities in a dynamic dental practice environment.

Key Responsibilities as a Dental Nurse:

  • Assist dentists during clinical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and maintain clinical cleanliness
  • Maintain accurate patient records and support compliance with CQC standards
  • Provide chairside support and reassurance to patients
  • Manage stock levels and order dental supplies as needed

As a Receptionist:

  • Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out procedures
  • Schedule appointments, handle cancellations, and manage diaries efficiently
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally
  • Process payments and manage billing queries
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure accurate record-keeping

Requirements

  • Qualified Dental Nurse (GDC registered) preferred
  • Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in dental software (e.g., SOE, Dentally) and general IT systems
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • A team player with a positive, proactive attitude
