Description

We are seeking an experienced, professional and organised Dental Receptionist to join our weekday NHS Urgent Dental Care team in Peterborough on an Ad-hoc basis.
The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients attending emergency appointments and will play a key role in ensuring the smooth daily operation of the service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients to the practice and manage check-in procedures
  • Handle telephone and in-person enquiries with professionalism and empathy
  • Schedule and manage urgent dental appointments
  • Ensure accurate completion of patient details and NHS forms
  • Support clinical staff with administrative needs to maintain efficient workflow
  • Process payments and assist with administrative record-keeping
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to data protection standards
  • Liaise with the dental team to coordinate care and keep patient flow efficient

Requirements:

  • Previous Dental Reception experience in essential.
  • Confident communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
  • Calm and compassionate, particularly when dealing with patients in discomfort or distress
