What are the duties of the job? ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Use of smartphone, laptop and tablet technology to record all repairs Repairs and maintains customer vehicles and mechanical equipment. May potentially include Mobile Service Perform PMI's on tractors, trailers and other diesel powered equipment. Perform all types of engine, brake, drive train, electrical, and A/C repairs. Test drive vehicles under 26,000 GVW. Must be able to work independently Standard tech owned tools are required. Major shop tools and diagnostic equipment is provided PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance. Implement and enforce Health and Safety les, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions. The associate must be able to read and write reports. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 5+ years experience required. Preferred certificate or degree from college or technical school Detroit Diesel or Allison Transmission experience a HUGE plus CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS ASE Certification in PMI & Brakes a plus Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record within the last 3 years. No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years (ie., DUI/DWI). Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
