    The Role
    We are currently seeking talented Civil Engineers to work within our IV & Construction Services team based in our Adelaide office but will require regular travel to site offices.

With a minimum of 4+ years’ experience in civil engineering, your duties will include: -

  • Ensure that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC.
  • Collaborate with appropriate team members, contributors, and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness, and co-ordination of project deliverables.
  • Contribute to the commercial success of projects and the team.
  • Apply project management principles in carrying out assigned tasks and accomplish project deliverables to the required standard and in a timely manner.
  • Issuing directions to the Contractor
  • Monitoring compliance with contractual and technical requirements
  • Assessing variation claims
  • Monitoring, recording and reporting on progress, quality, safety, time and cost

With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.

Suitable applicants will have a bachelor’s degree (Engineering) or Equivalent and will have:

  • Undertake key technical tasks independently across a broad range of small to medium profile projects.
  • Successfully monitor and manage the scope and risk of multiple varying size projects and apply business systems.
  • Prepare technical reports and prepare proposals on small to medium projects.
  • Utilise good time management skills with the ability to plan workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Effectively work across a variety of projects learning new skills and knowledge quickly and efficiently.
  • Be effective in managing client relationships and expectations (internal and external)
