Description
Description European Automotive Specialist | EV Experience a plus | Palo Alto, CA Founded in 2014, Swickard Auto Group has grown to 50+ dealerships across five states — consistently ranked by Automotive News as one of the fastest-growing dealer groups in the country and ranked top 5 in North America by Reputation.com. We’re a hospitality company that happens to sell cars. Our standard is the Ritz-Carlton applied to every service bay — and Audi of Palo Alto is where that standard meets one of the most discerning automotive markets in the country. If you’ve built your career working on European vehicles and take pride in doing it right, this is your kind of shop. THE ROLE We’re looking for an experienced European Technician with a strong foundation across VAG brands — Audi, Volkswagen, or both — who can diagnose confidently and perform the full range of repairs to manufacturer standards. Whether your background is in Audi, VW, or broader European platforms, if you bring the diagnostic depth and the hands-on ability to handle complex work independently, we want to talk. WHAT YOU’LL DO • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and software issues across European vehicle platforms using manufacturer diagnostic tools • Execute heavy-duty repairs including engine, transmission, suspension, drivetrain, and electrical system work to factory standards • Perform thorough multi-point inspections and document findings clearly for service advisors and guests • Identify and communicate additional repair needs accurately and transparently • Stay current on technical service bulletins, software updates, and manufacturer repair procedures relevant to your brands • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards • Collaborate with service advisors and the shop team to deliver quality repairs on time WHAT YOU BRING Required • 2+ years of experience working on European vehicles, with strength in Audi, Volkswagen, or VAG platforms • Ability to diagnose and perform heavy-duty repairs independently • Experience with manufacturer or equivalent diagnostic tools • Strong understanding of European vehicle mechanical, electrical, and software systems • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Preferred • Dealership experience in a franchised European or VAG group environment • VW, Audi, or other European manufacturer certification • EV certification or hands-on experience with European electric vehicles BENEFITS & PERKS • Sponsored manufacturer certification — we invest in your credentials • Medical, dental, and vision insurance • 401(k) • Paid time off and holidays • Employee vehicle purchase and service discounts • Pet insurance • Mental health program and benefits • Career growth within one of the fastest-growing dealer groups in the country If European vehicles are your specialty and quality is non-negotiable, you’ll fit right in here. #T4
