State Fire is currently looking for a full-time Fire Sprinkler Fitter based in Boise, ID. Ideal candidates have five years of experience with fire sprinkler systems. Your role as a Fire Sprinkler Fitter will include the following responsibilities: · Install various types of sprinkler systems, including wet pipe, dry pipe, pre-action, and deluge systems. This involves reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications to ensure the system is installed correctly. · Regional travel with overnight stays may be required. · 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts, Monday – Friday. Requirements · Completion of a Fire Sprinkler Apprenticeship program preferred. · Possess, or can obtain, any applicable state licensing. · Knowledge of fire and building codes, OSHA, and other regulations pertaining to the job. MSHA preferred. · Five or more years of experience in the fire sprinkler trade. · Basic computer and software skills. · Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, with acceptable driving record. · Must have and maintain an acceptable national criminal background check. · Must be able to pass a pre-employment urinalysis, and any further randomly selected tests. · Ability to communicate effectively in English. · Ability to work flexible hours and on-call, when necessary. Physical Requirements: · Ability to sit, stand, kneel, crouch or stoop for prolonged periods. · Ability to operate a motor vehicle. · Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding and stairs. · Ability to move about in areas with limited space and difficult access. · Ability to safely lift, transport and place objects up to 70 pounds, without assistance. · Ability to work both indoors and outdoors. · Ability to use trade-specific power tools such as hand tools, saws, pipe cutters, etc. What we can offer you: · Industry specific or systems training (site and specific systems/equipment as needed). · Medical, dental and vision insurance options. · 401K plan with company match. · Company paid 50K life insurance. · Paid Time Off · Competitive compensation, depending on experience.
