The Opportunity As a Fire Sprinkler Experienced Helper, you will work alongside licensed sprinkler technicians to install, repair, and maintain fire sprinkler systems. This is a hands-on field role with real opportunities for training, advancement, and long-term growth within State Fire. You will apply your existing experience while continuing to develop technical skills through field training and industry education. Key Responsibilities Assist with the installation of fire sprinkler systems Read, review, and follow plans, drawings, and job specifications Load, unload, lift, and transport pipe and sprinkler materials Use trade-specific tools such as hand tools, saws, and pipe cutters Follow MSHA and OSHA safety requirements at all times Participate in required training Work 10-, or 12-hour shifts when necessary, and on-call rotation as needed Requirements Qualifications Previous fire sprinkler experience required, install/contract work preferred Willingness to continue learning and advancing in the fire sprinkler trade Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record Ability to pass a national criminal background check Ability to pass a pre-employment urinalysis and random testing as required Ability to communicate effectively in English Flexibility to work varied schedules, on-call rotations, and occasional overnight travel Physical Requirements Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, stoop, and work on your feet for extended periods Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and stairs Ability to work in confined or difficult-access spaces Ability to safely lift, carry, and place materials up to 70 pounds without assistance Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions Ability to operate a motor vehicle What We Offer Industry-specific and system-based training Medical, dental, and vision insurance options 401(k) retirement plan with company match Company-paid $50,000 life insurance Paid time off and paid holidays Competitive compensation based on experience About State Fire Founded as a three-person operation, State Fire has grown into a regional leader serving Idaho, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, Texas, Colorado, and more.
