  • To learn, understand and know all the menus on offer so that all guests’ questions can be answered without delay.
  • Ensure that our guest’s special needs i.e. dietary requirements; allergies, etc are made known to the chef and the restaurant manager.
  • To become familiar with the type of wines served. Therefore, ensuring that wine is offered when taking a food order and the suggestive / up-selling technique is used at all times.
  • Make best efforts to learn the names and personally recognise regular guests.
  • Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and napkins.
  • Taking food orders from guests and passing orders through to the kitchen immediately.
  • To attend to the needs of all guests maintaining a high standard of service at all times.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all food & beverage items to guests in the restaurant.
  • Ensure that all hot food served to the guests is in fact ‘hot’.
  • Ensure that the Restaurant Manager is informed of any difficulties or delays with service as soon as they occur during service periods.
  • Ensure that tables are cleared of all used plates, cutlery and glasses and these items are brought to the dish wash area.
  • To maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Handle all company properties with care.
  • Ensure that any customer complaints are brought to the attention of the Restaurant Manager as soon as they occur.
  • Ensuring that all payments are handled with care so as no shortages occur.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with all restaurant and kitchen staff.
  • Ensure all areas are prepared for the next service period before leaving duty
Responsibilities

To provide a friendly and efficient service within the Food & Beverage department, dispensing orders accurately, with courtesy to the standard required.
Report for duty at the correct time as per rota, in the specified uniform, ensuring a high standard of appearance at all times.
May be possible to negotiate hours to suit family comimitments.
