About Us Since starting in Perth in 2012, CMW Geosciences has expanded to 22 offices with over 300 employees across Australia and New Zealand. We are hard-working, down-to-earth, and passionate engineers and geologists who provide quality geotechnical site investigation, analysis, and design advice to the construction infrastructure and energy sectors. We are looking to bring on a Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologist and will be considering candidates with 2-15 years of experience. Our Rotorua office works across the Rotorua and Taupo region with a diverse and challenging array of projects. From large-scale land development projects to geothermal energy plants and national road projects. Our small team works closely with and receives senior support from our established Tauranga team. You'll have variety in projects as well as working across the full project lifecycle. Every day is something new, working with the geohazards that the Eastern BOP provides. What You'll Need A Civil Engineering, Geology or Earth Science Degree A minimum of 2+ years of experience e.g. as part of a consultancy / geotechnical consultancy. A full New Zealand drivers license Good interpersonal skills Exceptional organisation and communication skills, both verbal and written What You'll Get Additional Day Leave on your Birthday $500 annual well-being allowance Provision of minimum of 50 hours Training / CPD per year and paid membership to Engineers Australia Office social events throughout the year Flexible office hours Ongoing internal project management and technical trainings Please note: We are closed from 19 December 2025 - 5 January 2026 and applications will be reviewed after this period.
