COMPENSATION: ANNUAL BASE SALARY

We are looking for a reliable, skilled, proactive and experienced Property Maintenance Worker (Handyman) to oversee the upkeep and maintenance of a private family residence located in Toronto and a property in Muskoka. This is a hands-on role that involves performing and managing a wide range of indoor and outdoor tasks, seasonal property preparation, handy-man type work, external grounds maintenance, pool maintenance, and complete maintenance of 2 high-end homes. Ideally, you have experience working as a handyman and/or a background in home building or carpentry or plumbing or electrical. You must have knowledge of multiple systems such as irrigation systems, HVAC, electrical, etc. This is a full-time salaried position. The responsibilities will include work at a 2nd property in Muskoka - the majority of this work taking place June/July/August.

REQUIREMENTS

• Prior experience working as a Contractor, Property Manager, Site Superintendent, Repair/Handyman or in a similar property/facility maintenance role
• Experience in carpentry or plumbing or electrical is an asset
• Experience working in residential renovations or residential building is an asset
• Working knowledge of home mechanics and maintenance systems (internal and external), including HVAC, filtration systems, plumbing, pool, hot tub, security, irrigation, and others
• Resourceful, self-motivated and proactive with positive energy and a can-do attitude
• Strong organizational skills and self-directed work ethic
• Problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and professional in a residential setting
• Flexibility to be at 2 properties - in Toronto and Muskoka
• Valid Ontario driver’s license, clean driving record, and vehicle required
• Criminal background check will be required
• Discretion, professionalism, and reliability are essential
• Role is LIVE OUT – not required to live onsite at the property
