DESCRIPTION:
The Roots Steakhouse in Summit, New Jersey is part of Harvest Restaurant Group. We are seeking a Line Cook (hot stations: fish, sauté, broiler) for a new and busy season at one of the hottest restaurants in New Jersey. The person for this role is
detail-oriented, proactive, plays well with others, and is passionate about cooking, cleaning and hospitality. These team members report to our Chefs de Cuisine and play a vital role in create memorable experiences for our guests.
compensation: $17-$20 to start, commensurate with experience. Increases and position changes are reviewed on 30 and 90 day increments.
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience preferred but not required.
Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
Resourceful, clean and well organized working habits with attention to detail.
Personable, outgoing, energetic team player with positive attitude.
Ability to think quick on their feet and multitask in a fast paced environment.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs.
Ability to exert a well-paced mobility for per shift, all the while maintaining a fun and positive attitude.
