Northside Construction is a locally owned and operated civil construction company that has been serving the Central Alberta region since 1973. With over 50 years experience, Northside Construction has built a strong reputation in the successful delivery of a vast number of projects in Central Alberta, including deep utility installations, subdivisions, roads, highways, and interchange construction.
Our Deep Utilities division is currently looking for a motivated loader operator to join our team.
Position Responsibilities:
- Thorough understanding of construction procedures and safety practices.
- Preform pre-shift inspections of equipment.
- Unloading of construction materials (pipe, fittings and manholes) from trucks with loaders and skid steers.
- Work with Main Hoe operator to feed Rock and Sand materials.
- Ability to manage rock and sand deliveries to site.
- Keep accurate inventory of materials for the next few days work.
- Ability to work safely in congested areas.
- Stage jobs by transporting and laying out pipe and manhole material from the lay down area to the work area.
- We typically work 5-6 days a week and 8-12 hours a day through the construction season.
- A valid class 5 drivers license is required.
- First Aid, Ground Disturbance, and Confined Space are an asset.
