SUMMARY: The Intermediate Maintenance Technician works under general supervision and fully trained to complete responsibilities independently. He/she is a multi-skilled craftsperson responsible the installation/startup and troubleshooting of all mechanical and electrical processes used in manufacturing, as well as support equipment located in the building or on the grounds – the objective being to maximize production and the functional longevity and appearance of the building, grounds and equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary duties and responsibilities include the following, however, Management reserves the right to assign or reassign other appropriate duties to this job at any time. * Follow all safety guidelines and participate as fully-empowered team member to achieve organization-wide goal of zero incidents * Observes devices and equipment in operation and troubleshoot problems * Performs various electromechanical maintenance functions * Respond to internal customer service and trouble calls * Makes necessary repairs to equipment, as required * Perform equipment calibrations to all analytical equipment and measurement devices * Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections * Installs and prepares equipment for startup, as required * Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments * Repairs or replaces defective parts and installs special functional and structural parts in devices * Provide timely and effective communication of important issues to supervisor * Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties * Responsible for housekeeping in work area * Uphold a safe, clean and orderly work environment * Performs other related duties as required * Quality of work meets best equipment engineering and maintenance practices * Work closely with all shift peers and production team members Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be capable of performing each essential duty satisfactorily.
