Plympton Park Day Night Surgery is an expanding and progressive GP-owned practice that is open 6 days a week providing high quality community-based healthcare services to the Plympton Park and surrounding metropolitan area.

We are seeking experienced Medical Receptionists who are enthusiastic, show initiative, hard-working, organised and flexible. Previous experience in medical rooms or a hospital environment is essential.

Reporting to the Practice Manager, the successful candidate/s will be responsible for a broad range of services including, but NOT limited to:

• Front-line medical administrative service in a professional, caring and efficient manner- greetings patients in person and over the phone.
• Experience with Best Practice will be highly regarded
• Ability to work across a 7 day rotating roster is essential
• Understanding of patient billing, inc. Workcover claims, Medicare item numbers and DVA billing
• Records Management & data entry
• General administrative duties as required.

Essential Criteria for this job role.

• Previous experience in medical rooms or hospital environment
• Current National Police Clearance
• Current Working With Children Clearance
• Ability to work across a 6 day rotating roster is essential
• Professional, friendly, confident, and courteous manner
• High work ethic and flexibility with work hours
• Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and prioritise
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
• High level of computer literacy
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a diverse team and independently
• High-level attention to detail.
• Enthusiasm, willingness, and ability to learn and retain information
• Well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise effectively with people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds.
