Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking an Experienced Numerical Control Programmer to support the Quality program in Auburn Washington. This role will require individuals that are capable of adapting to a dynamic team with critical deliverables and urgent factory support. They will need to have the ability to collaborate with others while keeping a “think outside the box” mindset. These team members will be expected to interface with global partners and internal stakeholders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE):

  • Experience operating metrology devices such as CMM, ARM, or Laser Tracker using CAD-based metrology software.
  • Experience using PC-DMIS.
  • CATIA V5, Spatial Analyzer, Metrologic, Basic Scripting, DMIS code.
  • Experience using Spatial Analyzer or similar metrology software.
  • Experience in inspection.
  • Experience interpreting GD&T and can apply the concepts for part inspection.
  • Experience working with 3D modeling for dimensional measurements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Computing knowledge basic operation, Microsoft office product.
  • Has an understanding of basic trigonometry.
  • Candidate has an aptitude for abstract reasoning.
  • Ability to collaborate with both the engineering work force and the mechanics on the factory floor.
  • Able to support ME activities in Velocity and CMES environment.
  • The ability to interpret data and make recommendations for possible solutions
Responsibilities
  • Provides numerical control, machining and programming technical experience.
  • Establishes technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility.
  • Plans, creates, verifies and revises Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry and documentation that directs the operations for a complete spectrum of numerically controlled equipment required to manufacture and inspect parts, tools and assemblies for departmental work.
  • Plans and guides the development and integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods, processes, software and equipment.
  • Works under general direction.
