Description

Do you enjoy working with operational risk management and having a role where your high integrity, professionalism, and ability to build trust enables the business to create value?

PROACTIVE OPERATIONAL RISK MANAGER WITHIN INVESTMENT FUND MANAGEMENT

You will be part of Danske Invest Management A/S which is the fund management arm of Danske Bank Asset Management – one of the largest asset managers in the Nordics. The Risk Management team has the responsibility for the risk management in Danske Invest Management A/S and of Danske Invest funds. This covers non-financial as well as financial risk management. We have offices in Copenhagen and in Luxembourg. Your primary workplace will be in Copenhagen.
You will be a part of a team covering non-financial risks and risk governance. The team is characterized by a positive and collaborative working atmosphere, high professionalism, transparency, and we encourage personal and professional development.
We are now looking for a proactive and driven operational risk manager to join the risk management department of Danske Invest Management A/S.

As an operational risk manager, you will, among other things, be:

  • Supporting the business and collaborating with other lines of defence on identifying and assessing non-financial risks - through analysis, coaching and guidance you deliver value to the business.
  • Challenging the established control environment and advising the business in implementing necessary improvements and mitigating controls in both the day-to-day processes as well as in change management activities.
  • Working hands-on with improvements in relation to policies, guidelines, processes and reporting to Executive Management, Risk Committee, and Board of Directors.
  • Monitoring, analysing and handling of operational risk events, including identification of root causes and implementation of adequate mitigating measures.
  • Monitoring of risk profile, key risk indicators and adherence to non- financial risk thresholds.
  • Working closely with stakeholders across the entire Asset Management value chain and hence you need to feel comfortable reaching out to stakeholders outside our closest organization.

You will get the opportunity to take part in improving and driving our non-financial risk management practises while gaining a solid knowledge of how to manage risks in one of the largest financial institutions in the Nordics.

CURIOUS AND SELF-DRIVEN ANALYST

As a person you are curious and thrive in a dynamic environment with multiple tasks. You have an interest in getting to the root of the problem, the ability to suggest solutions and efficiently executing tasks and seeing projects through to completion. We are looking for a person that:

  • Enjoys working both individually and in groups with colleagues where you, in collaboration, seek to find best possible solutions. It is important that you are proactive and structured in you daily work.
  • Has strong task management skills, is able to work simultaneously on short term as well as longer term tasks/projects and swiftly adapting to changing circumstances.
  • Has good interpersonal skills and work with high integrity to build trust among your colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Has a relevant educational background, fx within finance, auditing, economics, maths or similar, combined with an understanding of non-financial risk management and financial legislation.
  • Has strong communication skills in English. If you are proficient in Danish, this will be considered a plus.

It is an advantage, if you understand the business model, governance, risks and/or legislation for investment management and/or fund management business.
