The Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced or Senior Electrophysics Engr/Science (Electromagnetic Compatibility) for the team located in Ridley Park, PA or Berkeley, MO

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Level 4: 9+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor’s OR an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
Level 5: 14+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor’s OR an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

Experience in avionics, electrical, and/or a mission systems role
Experience developing or integrating avionics or mission systems
Experience in Agile Software Development and JIRA
Experience in performing simulation and analysis for electromagnetic interference and electromagnetic compatibility (EMI/EMC) engineering
Experience addressing identified electromagnetic interference instances using CONOPS, software and/or hardware-based solutions
Experience analyzing/simulating electromagnetic propagation and antenna performance when integrated on advanced aircraft.

TYPICAL EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Level 5: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. Responsibilities

Develops and validates E3 requirements for various complex communication, sensor, electronic warfare and other electromagnetic systems and components. Develops and validates electromagnetic requirements for electrical\electronic systems, mechanical systems, interconnects and structures.
Develops architectures to integrate complex systems and components into higher level systems and platforms while ensuring compatibility.
Performs trade studies, supported by modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and system performance and to optimize design around established requirements.
Defines and conducts critical tests of various kinds to validate performance of designs to requirements.
Manages appropriate aspects of critical supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements.
Provides support to products throughout their lifecycle from manufacturing to customer use by providing guidance and support to resolve complex issues. Supports project management by providing coordinating development of work statement, budget, schedule and other required inputs and conducting appropriate reviews.
Works under minimal direction.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
