The right person will: Takes ownership of their work, their truck, and their crew's results—no one needs to tell them to hustle Brings energy and a positive attitude to every property, every day Holds themselves to a high standard, even when no one's watching Looks for ways to do the job better, faster, and safer—not just the way it's always been done Treats client properties like their own backyard Wants to grow, and is willing to put in the work to earn it KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Execute pruning and tree work on client properties across the Kansas City metro, including tree pruning and removal, shrub pruning, mulch installation, and stump grinding Take initiative and ownership of daily routes, equipment, and quality of work Collaborate effectively within a team environment while also working independently with efficiency Operate small-engine equipment safely and proficiently, including chainsaws, shears, and string trimmers Communicate professionally with clients regarding service expectations, processes, and timelines Adhere to all safety protocols while working aloft and on the ground Requirements A background in forestry or a related field is a plus. That said, if you bring a genuine willingness to learn—both on the job and independently, our structured training program will equip you with the skills to succeed. All candidates must meet the following requirements: High School Diploma or GED required Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Production Arborist or in comparable tree care/climbing role Strong physical capability, including the ability to lift 50 lbs. and walk 3+ miles per day Comfort and respect for working at heights; ability to climb and work aloft Ability to push and pull objects over extended distances Ability to work effectively in all weather conditions A self-starter mindset and commitment to team collaboration and workplace safety Valid driver's license required Ability to obtain DOT certification and pass a background check and drug screening Reliable transportation to job sites throughout the Kansas City metro area ** SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION: This is a safety-sensitive position requiring the operation of vehicles and equipment.
