Description Role Expectations and Competencies: Gilliatte General Contractors is seeking an experienced, effective, take-charge Construction Project Manager that can see the big picture and execute on needed objectives. Must be self-motivated and able to succeed in a dynamic environment. The Candidate must have Estimating experience. This key role will be responsible for the overall coordination of estimating commercial projects across the county, while working with a construction team. This role involves being able to review bid documents, create a strategic plan and complete accurate bids by: • Preparing and maintaining online plan room and onsite sets • Locating and coordinating Subcontractors bids (we do not self-perform work) • Creating and planning scopes of work from bid document(s) • Using your abilities and communication skills to create vendor lists and send Invitations To Bid • Maintaining communications with subcontractors, vendors and owners • Reviewing bids for complete scope and accuracy • Preparing owner bids with the construction team for submittal • Developing and maintaining business relationships with subcontractors and vendors to increase bid opportunities Requirements Candidate must have documented experience of success in commercial construction Must be well organized and self-motivated Experience in estimating strongly preferred High attention to detail and accuracy Must demonstrate the ability to take the lead in developing the proposal in a timely and successful manner Skill in reading and interpreting plans and specifications Skill in both verbal and written communication Skilled in Microsoft Office, and Auto Desk Plan Grid, Basic Take Off and estimating software The ability to be available to adapt to the work schedule and project environment depending on the project status. PM's are typically in the office Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM as well as in the field 1-2 days / week.
