JOB SUMMARY

We are a waste and recycling company that services Eastbourne, Hastings and some of the surrounding areas. We are looking for a keen class 2 driver for a permanent position, you will predominantly be driving a RCV vehicle, but this may change to suit our business needs. So, flexibility is key.
You will be collecting waste and recycling from a number of local commercial premises and tip at local facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Applicants must be able to demonstrate a passion for professional driving coupled with good communication skills and a willingness to be part of a successful hardworking team delivering a high level of customer service.
They must have; class 2 licence (Cat C at least one year experience), CPC Qualified, Digital Tacho Card, A good knowledge of Tachograph law and local area (Eastbourne/Hastings), Customer Focus, Safety Management, could be flexible on hours as and when required.

Determines condition of vehicle by inspecting vehicle before and after use; logging inspection; reporting requirements.

  • Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Maintains safe vehicle and conditions and protects load by complying with organisation policies and procedures and highway rules and regulations.
  • Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Maintain records by completing driver defecting procedure on a daily basis, advise Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager for repairs
