About the Role: On behalf of our client, a reputable mid-size law firm located in downtown Edmonton, we are seeking an experienced Real Estate Conveyancer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will independently manage 20-30 transactions per month, with the capability to handle over 50 transactions during peak seasons, including purchases, sales, builder transactions, and high-risk mortgages.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a legal assistant in a law firm, specifically in residential real estate transactions with banks and B Lenders
  • Proficiency in conveyancing software
  • Impeccable attention to detail and strong organizational skills
    Compensation: Salary will be negotiated and includes a comprehensive benefits package. The position will commence upon selection of the successful candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Managing funding protocols, land title submissions, and corporate documents
  • Drafting and finalizing correspondence and legal documents
  • Handling residential real estate matters/files within a law firm
  • Ensuring attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
  • Working effectively under multiple deadlines
  • Identifying and resolving problems promptly with minimal supervision
  • Communicating facts and ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Demonstrating excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Taking independent actions and calculated risks while seeking and offering help when needed
  • Managing files and ensuring up-to-date filing
  • Preparing final reporting letters
  • Liaising with clients and addressing inquiries and requests
  • Performing general administrative duties, including photocopying, mail, and faxing/emailing
