RECEPTIONIST

Neville Hotels Ravenport Resort, a new deluxe hotel, golf course and holiday lodge resort in the well-known area of Curracloe in Wexford, overlooking the famous Curracloe beach. The hotel comprises of 50 bedrooms and suites, together with bar and restaurant, swimming pool and spa. 22 holiday lodges will complete the resort, which will be nestled amongst the 18-hole golf course.
We are seeking to recruit a Receptionist to join our Front Office Team. The successful candidate will contribute to the smooth running our Front Office function. The ideal candidate for this role will be a confident, organised person who has excellent attention to detail and excellent guest care skills. They will also have a flexible attitude towards shift work as the role will involve working mornings, evenings, midweek, and weekends.

EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with one-years’ previous hotel front office experience.

Responsibilities
  • Review guest requests prior to arrival and ensure same are communicated to the relevant departments.
  • Greet guests upon arrival and anticipate any assistance that may be required.
  • Answer and direct calls through a switchboard to the agreed standard.
  • Perform check-in, check-out, cash management tasks and account management.
  • Manage online and phone reservations when required.
  • Ensure allocations are complete as per guest requests and yield maximisation.
  • Maximise room occupancy at best rates.
  • Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities.
  • Action guest requests promptly and efficiently.
  • Promptly action and report all complaints and issues as they arise in an efficient and effective manner, escalating the issue as appropriate.
  • To ensure all security procedures are adhered to with regards to guest’s belongings such as luggage, storage or deliveries.
  • To ensure all security procedures are adhered to with regards to cash management and safe management.
  • Ensure that all monies are accounted for e.g. floats counted at beginning and end of shift, suitable change, all cash balanced and correct floats are returned.
  • To ensure that accurate profile and billing procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Attend departmental training and meetings as required.
  • Comply with service, uniform, and personal appearance standards.
  • Have a flexible attitude to working days and shifts in accordance with the departmental rota.
