We are seeking to recruit a strong, charismatic Receptionist to join our Front Office Team, one who can create the type of guest experiences that continue to set Neville Hotels apart from our competitors.

The Tower Hotel is Waterford’s premier 4-star city centre hotel and is superbly located overlooking the Marina and Reginald’s Tower. The hotel is just a 3-minute stroll from the city’s shopping and entertainment hot spots, and the premier business district.

EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidates will be a team player with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with one-year previous Hotel Front Office experience.

Responsibilities
  • Greet guests upon arrival and anticipate any assistance that may be required.
  • Perform all check-in, check-out, and cash handling tasks.
  • Manage online and phone reservations when required.
  • Answer and direct calls through a switchboard to the agreed standard.
  • At all times strive to represent Neville Hotels in a professional manner.
  • Action guest requests promptly and efficiently.
  • Perform duties according to hotel policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Be knowledgeable about daily hotel operations.
  • Be knowledgeable about guest rooms, locations, amenities, features, and all other services offered throughout the hotel.
  • To contribute towards the maximisation of bedroom sales and deliver high levels of revenue control.
  • To ensure all security procedures with regards to guest’s belongings such as luggage, storage or deliveries are carried out with the upmost care and attention.
  • Be empowered to solve issues as they arise.
  • To practice gracious hospitality and promote goodwill by being friendly, courteous, and helpful to guests and colleagues.
  • Always ensure the cleanliness of the front desk area and back office.
  • Have a flexible attitude to working days and shifts in accordance with the departmental Rota.
