JOB OVERVIEW

Due to our practice expansion, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Nurse to join our newly established referral practice team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients while supporting the team in delivering exceptional service. This position requires a blend of clinical skills, empathy, and a passion for animal welfare.

EXPERIENCE

  • Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment is advantageous.
  • Experience in theatre for lengthy procedures would be an advantage but all training will be given.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and pet owners.
  • A compassionate approach towards animals and their owners is crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
  • Monitor anaesthesia and post-operative recovery of patients.
  • Conduct laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic imaging.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
    -Assist with administrative tasks such as insurance claims.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the clinic environment.
  • Assist in the management of inventory, including ordering supplies as needed
